You may or may not have noticed but I’m rather partial to a chair and the above number by New Makers really took my fancy. White powder-coated steel rod structure with a ply wood seat cushioned and upholstered in bright yellow Thai cotton, this new take on an old classic really hits a note. Beautifully simple, its wire form makes it a very unassuming chair, appearing light and airy and taking up little room. The bright seat cushion sings of modern and new, a really cheery pop of colour to brighten up the dullest day. It really would look super in my flat, but that’s by the bye. Next on the list of products that I like from New Makers is their Strip tray, made up of four different woods (Rubber, Acacia, Oak and Rosewood) and coated in acrylic, this tray is begging for a good breakfast in bed. There’s a hint of times gone by and it has a decidedly manly undertone but is none the less delightful and desirable for it. I love the mixture of the colours and the stripes make the tray sleek and sophisticated. Below the tray is the Anh Bench and the leaning salt and pepper grinders both of which cannot fail to attract attention for their strong architectural lines and unusual characters.
