Jubilee Lovely Jubilations To You All

photography by Iwan Essery and styling by Emily Blunden

During a shoot for a high street retailer (coming to a computer screen near you soon), I styled these two shots as a little extra for my blog. I wanted to do something for the Jubilee but I wanted to approach it from a different angle in terms of colour. I also was keen to indulge my girly side which, to be honest, doesn’t come out as often as it ought. I spent a little time experimenting with food dye (and eating cake) to achieve the desired colours and a good deal of time colouring in Union Jack flags and crowns to create my own version of patriotic bunting. It’s all just a good excuse for a bit of playing, really. I’m off to Lancaster for the Jubilee so I’m feeling a little sad at missing all the London-based fun but I’m sure them up there will have something super lined up. I hope you all have a smashing weekend with plenty of cake, horse guards and flag waving. Happy Jubblies to you all.
